Vice President of Operations

Summary/Objective

DD DANNAR, LLC, is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of a mobile, off-road energy platform that is the first in a new class of electric work vehicles. We are currently searching for a Vice President of Operations for our headquarters in Muncie, IN.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs.
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Manages the overall strategy, purpose and vision of the Production, Human Resources, Information Technology, Purchasing, and Engineering functions, and partners with the CEO on sales management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets over the near term
  • Plans and directs operational policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Implements operational processes to meet the needs of the business, produce sustainable growth, and minimize risk. 
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and sustainable growth.
  • Execute organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
  • Develop operating budgets.
  • Ensures compliance with standards and regulations. 
  • Evaluate operational performance results against organizational goals.
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
  • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees to optimize performance.
  • Aggressively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability.
  • Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting.
  • Build and manage trusted relationships with key customers, clients, suppliers, strategic partners, and stakeholders
  • Identify and participate in activities that will result in expansion (investments, corporate alliances, acquisitions).
  • Work autonomously while ensuring CEO expectations are readily met and exceeded.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Act as a mentor and motivator to all employees.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities (what positions are supervised)

This position will supervise the Purchasing Director, Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Service Manager, Product Manager, and Human Resources Site Lead

 

Work environment (need to describe the environment and possible exposure to any hazardous materials)

  • Assembly floor, office area
  • Exposure to chemicals and electrical hazards

 

Physical demands (how long-standing/sitting; repetitive actions; lifting requirements; ladder; etc.)

  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stretch.

 

Travel required:

5% 

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Training – Yellow belt certification minimum.
  •  5+ years experience in manufacturing.
  •  5+ years experience leading a department and other employees.
  •  5+ years experience in engineering and meeting goals.
  •  5+ years in strategic planning and proven success at meeting goals.

 

Preferred education and experience:

  • Working knowledge of IT and business infrastructure.
  • Master’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 10+ years experience in areas listed above
  • Green belt or higher completed in Lean Six Sigma Training

 

Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

 Authorized to work in the United States.
